About Us

Many people do not get patent for their invention due to lack of awareness about rules and regulations of Pakistan Patent Office as well as for other countries. Due to this reason both economically and academically the benefits for novel patent or design is not being a valid and a lot of innovative talent of our country has been wasted. A lot of problems have been arisen to the individuals in obtaining patent at their own levels. Not all new products or processes, even if excellent, can be successfully commercialized. For instance, they may be too expensive to sell to the public. For this purpose, PCSIR, KLC establish a Patent Advisory Cell.

Objectives

• To establish patent Advisory Cell for Scientists, Engineers of S&T / R&D Organization and Institution to acquire national and foreign Patents for their Process/Technologies/Inventions.
• To encourage the Scientist / Technologists to carry out scientific and technical research for filing patent of new technologies and processes.
• To create awareness for socio-economic benefits to local industries and technical dissemination of expertise to local scientists/engineers for filing and obtaining patents for their. process/technologies/inventions under one window operation.
• To promote national interests in international efforts to harmonize and simplicity patent law and it, s supporting rules and procedure and stimulating innovation.
• To enhancing the international competitiveness of industry and commerce through the promotion and awareness about patent Rights.
